Hudhud : Cyclone in Bay Of Bangal


Hudhud cyclone started from a low-pressure area which forms due to the influence of an upper-air cyclonic circulation in the Indian ocean near the Andaman Sea on 6th of Oct. The system drifted westward and intensified into a depression and later into a deep depression the following day. Owing to favorable environmental conditions,  Hudhus intensified into a  cyclonic storm on October 8.Hudhud has been named after the colorful bird found across Afro-Eurasia. It Is shows that the Small name is easy and Quicker to spoken communication.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning to the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, upgrading the intensity of the Cyclone Hudhud to a very severe cyclonic storm.
Indian government and state government prepare for natural disaster. Odisha state government deploys ODRAF rescue teams to start evacuation as cyclone approaches. 1573 NDRF officials and  4 Indian Navy ship are ready to help with four ships on standby. These ships have been equipped with additional divers, doctors, inflatable rubber boats, integral helicopters and relief material including food, tentage, clothes, medicines, blankets etc.  Six aircraft are standing by at the Naval Air Station INS Dega to undertake reconnaissance, rescue, casualty evacuation and airdrop of relief materials.
Very heavy rainfall and highspeed storm are expected in areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea while those out at sea are advised to return to shore.
